PUEBLO COUNTY — The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office arrested a 24-year-old man Tuesday night in connection with the shooting death of his 52-year-old stepfather.

According to the Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a home in the 6400 block of Galbreth Rd around 8 p.m. after a man called 911 saying he had shot his stepfather. This is in southwest Pueblo County.

When deputies arrived, 24-year-old Tyler Idell was standing outside the home. He was taken into custody without incident.

The Sheriff's Office said the preliminary investigation revealed that Idell and his stepfather had gotten into an argument that escalated into a fight. Idell then got a gun and shot his stepfather.

The stepfather has been identified as 52-year-old Leslie Cole. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.

Idell was arrested on a charge of Second Degree Murder.

The investigation is ongoing.
