PUEBLO — Pueblo City Council has passed an increase to the 2-C roads paving street utility.
Beginning in October, residential customers will be charged $3 on their monthly water bills to help raise money for street paving.
The city also changed its formula on how much they charge small businesses. Those businesses that have sales receipts of less than $100,000 a year will only be charged $25 a month compared to the current $50.
"I could not say exactly how many but it was a significant enough number where the mayor and some city officials decided to take a look at that fee and suggest those changes," said Debra Hill.
The city will be mailing out notices to customers about the rate change next month.
