COLORADO SPRINGS — More than two years into the I-25 Gap project, CDOT continues to make progress.

Crews have finished work on two of the five bridges in the Gap, as well as 60 percent of the paving.

"We're doing a lot of things in parallel with each other and so rebuilding the bridges, that is a big, big job. And doing that and those structures, that's a major job that we are working on and we are also paving too. We're doing a lot of paving work, that's a big job as well,' CDOT Communication Manager Tamara Rollison said.

CDOT broke ground on the project on Labor Day 2018. The goal is to finish some time in 2022.
