PUEBLO — News 5 was on hand Wednesday as potential police recruits in Pueblo tackled the agility course.
This test is just one of the steps in the vetting process before a candidate can be accepted into the Police Academy.
"It is a lot different than when I was a little kid. There is a little bit more crime on the streets and I'm just wanting to help out the community. I come from a law enforcement family," said candidate, Tyler Torello.
The department hopes to hire 15 to 18 new officers from this pool of candidates.
