COLORADO SPRINGS — The Colorado Springs Police Department is attempting to identify a hit-and-run suspect after leaving someone with life-threatening injuries Sunday evening.

Police said they responded to a 7-Eleven on South Circle Drive around 9 p.m. where they said a "disturbance" happened between two groups of customers where a handgun was revealed.

While one of the groups tried to drive away from the convenience store, they hit the victim with their vehicle. The department said the victim had life-threatening injuries when they were taken to Memorial Hospital.

The suspect fled the scene and officers are working to identify them and their vehicle.
