COLORADO SPRINGS — A patient offered a kind gesture to nurses and staff at UCHealth Memorial North Oncology department on Thursday.
Deni Offord bought lunch for the staff as a way to thank them for everything they do for her.
Workers said they appreciated the kindness.
"We always enjoy getting food!" said nurse Heather Harris. "And then just getting it from our patient and them just taking the time to set this all up and have it delivered. It just means a lot to us that we meant something to them and their lives."
This is National Nurses Week, a time to show appreciation to nurses across the country.
