COLORADO SPRINGS — A sure sign that the holidays are just around the corner is the construction of the outdoor ice skating rink in Colorado Springs.
Workers are currently putting the finishing touches on the rink in Acacia Park in downtown Colorado Springs.
An estimate 120,000 people visited the rink last season and this year it will be a little bigger than in the past.
"People seem to love it. They enjoy being downtown by the restaurants and shops, being able to skate with their family in the outdoors," said General Manager, Andrew Rummel.
Public skating will start Friday, Nov. 8th.
This season, the rink will stay open until Feb. 23rd, almost a month longer than previous years.
