FOUNTAIN — "Operation Rolling Thunder" hit local streets Monday.

Police and firefighters mounted up and hit the streets of a Fountain neighborhood.

While other departments across southern Colorado have done similar events for birthdays, Fountain first responders wanted to do something for all the citizens of Fountain.

"It's awesome! You know, it gets the kids out to see them, you know get a little parade, a break from the quarantine. I think it's awesome! They're doing an awesome job with this," Jessica Welch said.

Monday wasn't the only day for "Operation Rolling Thunder." The parade is scheduled to cruise through different neighborhoods at 1 p.m. through Thursday of this week.

You can find the full schedule for "Operation Rolling Thunder" on the City of Fountain's Facebook page.
