COLORADO SPRINGS — An altercation between two men led to shots being fired early Thursday morning in southeast Colorado Springs, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department.
Police said the shooting happened around 5:20 a.m. off Murray and East Fountain boulevards. The victim was with a woman at a Conoco gas station when the altercation happened with the suspect.
The department said the victim was found on Murray Boulevard with multiple gunshot wounds and taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. It is not clear where the shooting exactly took place.
The suspect ran off on foot and there is no description available yet. Murray Boulevard reopened around 12:30 p.m. following the department's investigation.
