COLORADO SPRINGS — One person is injured and a suspect arrested after a carjacking in northwest Colorado Springs Thursday night.

Officers were called to the 7300 block of Commerce Drive Friday evening.

Minutes after police arrived at the scene for the carjacking a second call came in for a home invasion in the 7500 block of Gillen Rd. That's just a few blocks from where the carjacking was reported.

When police arrived at the home they found the suspect and the vehicle from the carjacking.

He was taken to an area hospital to be checked out. Colorado Springs Police have identified him as 22-year-old Liam Anderson.
