The Ronald McDonald house allows families to access specialized medical treatment by providing a place to stay at little or sometimes no cost.
Sara Correll was one of those children.
She was at the very first ribbon-cutting ceremony for a Ronald McDonald house when she was just two years old, and now she uses their service as her young son is in and out of care.
"As a mother and a patient, this organization has blessed me so abundantly over the last 30 years, and continues to do so as a mother of a chronically ill child," she said.
The ribbon cutting ceremony is this afternoon starting at 5 p.m.
The new home is a 25,000 square foot space which will welcome nine families on Monday.
