FOUNTAIN — Crews began grading and paving the newly repaired railroad crossing at Main Street in Fountain on Monday.

The intersection has been closed since June 24th.

The BNSF Railroad made repairs to tracks, making a much safer intersection, but it did cause rush hour backups for drivers.

Tanner Heekin, a Fountain resident who spoke to News5, says a lot of his friends live in Security so the construction kind of makes it a pain but he says there is always a way to work around it.
Work at the intersections should be completed by Tuesday.
