COLORADO SPRINGS — New art installations and murals are popping up in downtown Colorado Springs.
This past week, four pieces went up around downtown. The group, "Art on the Streets" plans to install a total of 12 over the next few weeks.
The Downtown Partnership said it felt this was a project that shouldn't be canceled even with the current crisis.
"Art is a great convener, because we can all look at a beautiful piece and we can all feel something about it and look at each other and see that we're experiencing this in our own way, and that is so powerful, especially when we're having to remain apart," Claire Swinford with the Downtown Partnership said.
You can download the "Otocast" app and it will show you which sculpture and murals are close by and provide narration about how the art was made and what it represents.
