EL PASO COUNTY — A Colorado Springs man has died after a motorcycle crash Saturday afternoon in El Paso County.
Colorado State Patrol says it happened just after 2 p.m. on Fontaine and Lamine, about five miles north of Fountain.
Troopers believe the driver of a pickup truck turned left in front of a motorcycle. That caused the motorcycle to overturn and its driver, identified as Franklin Beckwith, 33, was thrown off.
Troopers say Beckwith died at the scene, and was not wearing a helmet.
The driver of the pickup truck, Jose De La Cruz-De Los Santos, 22, of Colorado Springs, was not injured.
Troopers say speed and alcohol are not believed to be factors in the crash, but it is still under investigation.
