PUEBLO — A number of students in Pueblo received money for college Tuesday.
Pueblo County held a celebration to honor students with scholarships, and most of them have marijuana to thank.
A majority of the scholarshps came from the Pot Excise Tax, which is about $600,000 and helps more than 300 students.
"This means absolutely everything to me. I graduate in the spring. I did college in high school, so them paying for it has been helpful. I'm paying for college by myself so this scholarship means a lot," said scholarship recipient, Tristyn Hauck.
The scholarships range from $500 to $2,000.
