COLORADO SPRINGS — Colorado's 4A and 5A Marching Band State Championship competition, scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 28 & 29, has been canceled due to forecast weather conditions.
According to a statement posted on the CBA Marching website, the event will not be rescheduled due to factors including limited stadium availability.
The statement also says the organization understands the financial and emotion impact of the cancellation. The group also says it hopes to move to a one-performance State contest in the future so all band students will get the opportunity to perform.
