Man arrested, another on the run in connection to 40-minute robbery spree

COLORADO SPRINGS — Colorado Springs police have arrested one man and are looking for another who they say were involved in a 40-minute robbery spree.

On Feb. 2 at approximately 4:13 a.m. officers were dispatched to a robbery at the Circle K Store located at 1470 Jet Wing Drive. While officers were investigating that robbery, over the next 40 minutes, three more robberies of convenience stores were reported.

All four robberies included two suspects and they were committed with the same gun, according to police.

Circle K, 1740 Jet Wing Drive at 4:13 A.M.
7 Eleven, 1760 Shasta Drive at 4:24 A.M.
Circle K, 1204 East Pikes Peak Avenue 4:43 A.M.
7 Eleven, 1801 East Platte Avenue at 4:53 A.M.

During their investigation, officers found a stolen vehicle in the area of the fourth robbery and found one of the suspects hiding inside.

The suspect was taken into custody and has been identified as 27-year-old Isaac Phifer.

Colorado Springs police said that during their investigation, detectives were able to link Phifer to all four robberies. Phifer was arrested and charged with four counts of aggravated robbery.

According to detectives, the second 29 year-old Vershaun Allen, has an active arrest warrant for four counts of aggravated robbery and should be considered armed and dangerous.
