PUEBLO WEST — UPDATE:
Crews are now working to repair damaged roads in Pueblo West after a major water line break earlier Thursday in the area of Palmer Lake and Agnus.
Service was restored in the afternoon, officials say customers might notice changes in water quality. That's due to velocities in the pipe from the sudden movement of water, according to District officials.
Some roads in the area were seriously damaged by the break and remain closed for repairs.
Right now crews are working to repair a major transmission water break in Pueblo West.
A statement from the Pueblo West Metropolitan District says the break appears to be in the area of Palmer Lake and Agnus.
Many District customers are without water due to the break, including schools and businesses.
There is also a long-term traffic closure in the area to repair the break, as well as damaged streets.
Drivers in that area are asked to use an alternate route.
