COLORADO SPRINGS — The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds team will be practicing its flyover Wednesday afternoon for the U.S. Air Force Academy's graduation ceremony.

The graduation is scheduled for April 18, six weeks ahead of its usual schedule, to give the graduates a chance to celebrate.

"I have invited the Class of 2020 to help the staff design their graduation ceremony and they will do this with the same care for military tradition and the Academy's legacy as they've done leading other world-class Academy events," said US Air Force Academy Superintendent Lieutenant General Jay Silveria.

Family, friends, and the public will not be able to attend the event, but will be able to live stream it in its entirety.

The thunderbirds will be conducting the flyover between noon and 2 p.m. Send us your photos! Share them on our Facebook page, Twitter, Instagram or send them to mypics@koaa.com.

Keep in mind the governor's stay-at-home order is still in effect, so make smart decisions. Do not block shoulders on I-25 or other major roads to watch.
