COLORADO SPRINGS — A local veteran celebrated her birthday Tuesday.
Dr. Monica Agnew-Kinnaman is 102 years young.
Dr. Agnew-Kinnaman stands out among other vets in the area, as she served in the British Army as an Anti-Aircraft Artillery Gunner during the Battle of Britain.
"I was mainly stationed with men actually, and for some reason I found an orphan house as the only girl welcome with the men," she told News 5.
The doctor celebrated at a local eatery with other vets with Feb. birthdays. She said the secret to her long life has been everything in moderation.
