Nico Colucci has been playing the saxophone since he was 12.

His mother was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma in late June, and recently started chemotherapy. Now he's using his musical talent to spread awareness of the disease, and to help those who are fighting it.

He's been playing on street corners around downtown Colorado Springs for about a year, but now he donates the money he collects to lymphoma research.

Nico was one of 12 selected out of more than 100 students nationwide to participate in a jazz workshop last month in Vail.
