COLORADO SPRINGS — On Monday, the Divine Redeemer Catholic School and Church in Colorado Springs held its usual food give away but with some changes.

Due to COVID-19, the group took some extra precautions and decided to set up a drive-up service to help out.

The students and staff usually do food giveaways every second and fourth Monday of every month and usually assist around 50 families.

“This week we’ve changed how we’ve done it a little bit, we’ve brought it outside in a drive through fashion," said Tricia Faber, the volunteer coordinator for Divine Redeemer. "We have limited contact for everyone involved, my volunteers as well as the patrons.”

Divine Redeemer has announced that they will have another food giveaway next Monday, March 30, for anyone needing assistance from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
