LITTLETON, Colo. — The holidays are a time for family to come together. That's exactly what Karen Kopp is hoping for.
"She’s my baby. She’s my little girl. I will do anything we can to get her back," said an emotional Kopp of her missing daughter.
Kopp's daughter, Whitney Lulloff, went on her annual trip to Phoenix to see her father. She left December 19. On January 4, she boarded a plane back to Colorado. Whitney texted her mom before she took off.
"I said, 'I love you.' She said, 'I love you too' (heart, heart, thumbs up emoji). Which I thought was a little odd because she does not use emojis with me," Kopp said.
A spokesperson for the Denver Police Department says surveillance video shows Whitney arrived at Denver International Airport that day. She then took the light rail to the 61st and Pena stop.
"She ended up walking east on 61st. During this whole time she’s by herself. From there we’re still trying to figure out where she went and who she could be with at this point," said Denver Police Department Public Information Officer Jay Casillas.
Whitney was seen wearing a wig as she left the airport and a long dark jacket.
"She did not get (that) from her dad and she did not get for me. We believe that someone gave her these things," Kopp told Denver7.
That's what leads Kopp and her family to believe Whitney is not alone.
"Somebody else is involved that we don’t know and that none of her friends know. That leads me to believe that maybe she met someone online. That there’s a predator of some sort," Kopp explained.
