COLORADO SPRINGS — According to a release, in part of the Pikes Peak United Way #GivingTuesdayNow donation campaign on May 5th, a local Colorado Springs home building company is matching donations made as part of the campaign.
Keller Homes has committed to match all #GivingTuesdayNow donations to Pikes Peak United Way up to $10,000.
“Since the beginning of March, Pikes Peak United Way has been strengthening partnerships and alliances to serve and provide for those most affected by COVID-19, connecting those who can help with those who need it,” said Pam Keller of Keller Homes. “Whether it’s building homes or building community, Keller Homes wants to lead by example. The impact of every dollar you give will be doubled and every dollar will impact people who are suffering from job loss, food insecurity, rising debt, and an absence of childcare and school.”
The CARES Act also has created new tax incentives for Americans to give generously to qualifying charities, including Pikes Peak United Way.
This special worldwide event on May 5 is being held in addition to the annual Giving Tuesday, which this year will be held Dec. 1
Pikes Peak United Way has continued to ask the community to give as they can to address immediate needs posed by the COVID-19 crisis as well as long-term challenges that will affect education, income and health outcomes across our community.
