JEFFERSON COUNTY — A lawsuit has been filed following the "Stop the COVID Chaos" rally at Bandimere Speedway on August 1.
The Jefferson County Health Department is suing the speedway for violating public health orders.
The rally saw thousands of people gather in the face of the state and local public health orders barring gatherings of that size.
This is the second time in a matter of months the Jefferson County Health Department has taken the speedway to court over COVID-19 violations.
