FREMONT COUNTY — The Fremont County Sheriff's Office is investigating an assault that left an inmate seriously injured.
On February 1, deputies were dispatched to the Fremont County Detention Center for an assault in the jail.
One inmate was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Three other inmates were placed on administrative lockdown.
One staff member was injured in the assault.
This incident in under investigation.
