The Colorado Department of Transportation has announced they will be closing I-25 southbound near Castle Rock Friday night starting at 8 p.m.

The closure is from Plum Creek Parkway to Sky View Lane as drivers will take a detour through West Frontage Road.
Officials believe the detour will add about a 15-minute delay of travel time.
CDOT will be moving 23,000 feet of concrete barrier and then re-stripe the road.
A similar final traffic shift on northbound I-25 currently is scheduled for late June.
