If you use I-25 through Colorado Springs in the evening, bridgework is taking place that will affect your drive in both directions around Cimarron starting tonight. The contractor that did the work on the project is closing lanes and ramps around the interchange. Work is being done to replace some of the concrete panels that are covered under the contractor's warranty.

You can always exit I-25 early and cut through the city to avoid any delays. Nevada is a good alternate if needed.

Sunday, August 25th and Monday, August 26th
Crews are closing the left lane on southbound I-25 at about 9:00 p.m. and then at 10:00 p.m., crews will close down an additional lane starting at Bijou Street. Only one lane will be open for drivers and there could be lengthy delays as a result. The lanes are scheduled to be reopened at 5:00 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday morning.

Tuesday, August 27th
On Tuesday night, crews are closing down a single lane on southbound I-25 at about 9:00 p.m. and at 10:00 p.m., the all of the southbound lanes will be closed until 5:00 a.m. Wednesday morning. You can exit southbound I-25 at Bijou Street, head east to Tejon or Nevada and then head south to access I-25. Major delays are possible through the overnight hours.

Wednesday, August 28th
Be prepared for more lane closures starting at 9:00 p.m. on southbound I-25 Wednesday night. The ramp from Cimarron to northbound I-25 will also be closed overnight. Everything should be re-opened at 5:00 a.m. Thursday morning.
