COLORADO SPRINGS — Sunday, residents of several Colorado Springs senior living facilities got a nice surprise in the form of a drive-by cruise.
More than 200 cars took part in the cruise that was organized by members of the group, Masked Cruiser.
The route included a stop at the Winslow Court Retirement Community.
The goal was to help lift the spirits of senior residents, bring a smile to their faces, and help provide a little bit of nostalgia.
"Things like this, it just lifts their spirits to see something going on around the community. And there's a lot of our residents that use to have cars like this and stuff, so it's a piece of their history too, something that they use to enjoy that they can enjoy again," Activities Director, Tara Lindley said.
Lindley also said these cruises help to remind these seniors that there are still folks in the outside world that are thinking of them.
