PIKES PEAK REGION — The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region announced Monday that it's signature fundraising event will be going virtual this year.
The 'Fur Ball' will be hosted virtually and for the first time, is free to attend.
The Fur Ball is the HSPPR's biggest yearly fundraiser. Proceeds are used to fund the organizations life-saving programs.
The two-part event will include an online auction, held from July 24 to August 3. The HSPPR said the live program on Aug. 1 will include inspiring stories, heart-warming videos of community pets, an update on how the HSPPR will continue to adapt to these challenging times, and a virtual live “raise-your-paddle” donation.
“While we wish we could see everyone in person, safety is our top priority,” said Leslie Yoder, Interim CEO at HSPPR. “However, we’re thrilled that we can still host an action-packed event and invite all HSPPR supporters to join us as we raise funds to help homeless, abused and neglected animals in need. And the best part is, this year your pets can attend as well!”
The event will be held Saturday, Aug. 1 at 7 p.m.
