COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado — A house fire left a small home in downtown Colorado Springs uninhabitable. It started a little after 6:30 p.m. in a one-bedroom home in the 400 block of North Wahsatch Avenue near Boulder Street.

Firefighters believe the fire started in the bedroom. The house was unoccupied at the time.

They were able to get the fire under control by around 7:00 p.m. However, the amount of smoke and fire damage made the building unlivable.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
