COLORADO SPRINGS — Has your child ever expressed interest in learning more about space?
At the Space Foundation Discovery Center in Colorado Springs, they can get a hands-on experiences - like testing out a mars rover!
It's part of their Homeschool Days, where homeschooled kids and families can connect with one another.
Homeschool Days are the first Wednesday of every month, with one taking place today (Wednesday, November 6).
But these activities are also open to anyone who is interested in STEM careers.
"It's led by educators," explained Elias Molen, the education Manager at the Discovery Center.
"And today's topic is space business and so as we progress into our future space technologies, we're going to have a space business out there and this offers an opportunity for kids to explore that opportunity."
Kids can also create projects on a 3-D printer and take those home.
The center is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
One adult per family gets in for free and kids can get in for $7 each.
