PUEBLO — Blake St. was closed between 8th and 9th streets early Sunday morning in Pueblo after a hit and run driver took out a light pole and brought down a power line.

Pueblo Police said responding officers were able to follow a fluid trail left by the car and located the vehicle a few blocks away.

Officers also located the driver, who was processed for DUI.

The vehicle sustained "substantial damage" to the front end and officers knew what make of car they were looking for because a piece of the grill that said "Nissan" fell off and was left at the scene of the crash, police said.

Black Hills Energy responded to the scene due to the downed power line.

Pueblo Police said Blake St. was closed for some time but has since been reopened.
