COLORADO SPRINGS — An event in Colorado Springs will be welcoming entrepreneurs and professionals looking to network and expand their businesses.

It's part of Hispanic Startup Weekend, and the goal is to grow local businesses while empowering Hispanic business owners in the process.

Alfred Ortiz, the CEO of Cyber Software Distributors and one of the organizers of the event says he wants local entrepreneurs to use the event to tap into other resources they might not otherwise be able to easily access.

“Young entrepreneurs [can] show everything that they’ve grown to be able to bring forward," he explained.
"We can bring along mentors, we can bring along investors and people that’ll just help answer questions to be able to find out what the next step is."

The two-day event kicks off Friday night with a networking opportunity at the Piccadilly Bar at the Antlers Hotel from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
