A snowstorm moved into southern Colorado Sunday night and continued to dump light to moderate snow through the region Monday morning.
Most of the major roadways like I-25 or Highway 50, are completely covered in snow. Temperatures were cold enough overnight that there could be areas of ice under the snow, especially if you were above freezing during the day Sunday.
The Colorado Springs Police Department is on Accident Alert as of 6:45 a.m., which means if drivers are involved in a traffic accident with no fatality or injury requiring medical attention, no driver involved is suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, all drivers are present with license, registration and insurance information, and no damage to public property such as a street sign or utility pole has occurred, then drivers should exchange information and follow steps for cold reporting.

Quick Forecast:
Snow is expected to keep falling through the morning Monday, generally moving east through the plains with time. We should be mostly dry in the afternoon, with any additional light snow or flurries not really accumulating from lunch through the afternoon.
There could be more snow showers this evening in the mountains and Pikes Peak Region, but the next main wave of snow will arrive Tuesday morning.
