COLORADO SPRINGS — A historic barn in Pueblo will soon have a second life.

On Thursday, Pueblo City Council approved more than $800,000 to go toward restoring the Goodnight Barn. The money is from private donors along with city, county and state governments.

"We are very excited about the possibility of finishing his project to create a tourist destination for western heritage," said Bill Zwick, capital projects manager, City of Pueblo.

The barn is on state and national lists for historic places.

Construction is hoped to be done by summer 2020.
