COLORADO SPRINGS — Colorado Springs police say a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle Saturday night at the intersection of Airport Rd. and Murray Blvd.
At 6:36 p.m. officers were dispatched to that location on a report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident.
According to police, a juvenile female was crossing the street when she was struck and dragged a short distance by a pickup truck. She was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. The driver that hit the girl was contacted by police and cooperated with the investigation.
Alcohol and speed are not considered factors.
The investigation is ongoing.
