PUEBLO — The Roselawn Funeral Home and Cemetery wants you to join them in celebrating the life of their grief therapy dog, 13-year-old Hercules, who passed away on Sept. 20.

Herc, as he is affectionately called by everyone, not only helped the grieving families deal with the loss of their loved ones, but he also helped everyone working at the funeral home make it through each day.

Herc was trained by the Prison Trained K-9 Companion Program and started working at the funeral home in May of 2008. Roselawn Funeral Home decided to bring a grief therapy dog after reading multiple articles on the benefits of having a grief therapy dog.

Roselawn Funeral Home and Cemetary said Herc's compassion and care for people can not be matched by anyone and will never be able to be replaced in their hearts.

A celebration of Hercules life will take place on Thursday September 26th at 3:00pm at Roselawn Cemetery before being put to rest in Roselawn Pet Cemetery for all to come and visit.
