Fremont County Health Dept. reports COVID-19 related death

FREMONT COUNTY — The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment announced there has been one death of a Fremont County resident due to COVID-19.

The individual was an 81-year-old female who tested positive in early August while hospitalized and had other underlying health conditions.

Case investigation and contact tracing was conducted between FCDPHE and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment when the case was first reported in August.

FCDPHE says as of today there have been no confirmed cases associated with any of the school districts in Fremont County.

There are currently 164 total cases (148 positive cases, 16 probable cases), 1,441 negative tests, and 24 pending labs in Fremont County. There has been 1 death due to COVID-19.

This data comes from those tested at FCDPHE, St. Thomas More Hospital, and several medical provider offices within the county. These locations have tested 1,633 individuals.
