Fremont County announces new food distribution locations, times & dates of service

FREMONT COUNTY — According to a release, Family Resource Center of Fremont County has revised their food distribution locations, times, and dates of service.

The Canon City schools emergency feeding program, for non-perishable items, will continue at Canon City High School parking lot on Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

There are also GRAB n GO meals available to anyone under the age of 19 on Monday's, Wednesday's & Fridays at the following locations & times:

Canon City High School parking lot: 10:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m,
Canon Exploratory School front office: 11:25 a.m. to 11:55 a.m.
Harrison K-8, West parking lot, 12:10 p.m. to 12:30 p.m
Lincoln School of S&T, bus loop: 12:50 p.m. to 1:20 p.m.
McKinley School west parking lot: 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Loaves and fish are are providing hot meals at 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and Saturday. Food distribution is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. as they are now only accenting food and bleach donations.

The Golden Age Center & the Florence Senior Community Center is providing Grab and Go meals for community members over the age of 60 and above.

Mercy Today Ministries will be giving out carryout lunch on Tuesday's from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., while The Pregnancy Center will be giving out baby wipes, baby food and Pedialyte on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

In Florence, Manna House and Pulse Church will be distributing food. Manna house will giving out food boxes on a month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday's, Wednesday's and Friday's. While Pulse Chuch will be giving out food at the Florence City Hall Monday through Thursday, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

My Neighbors Cupboard, in Penrose, will doing much of the same thing, doing their normal food distribution on on Wednesday's from 4 - 6 p.m., on Thursday's from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

in addtion, this upcoming Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.,My Neighbors Cupboard will be hosting their twice a month Mobile Market Outreaches for Fremont County at Penrose Elementary School. They will have over 40,000 lbs of food to go out to our neighbors.
