COLORADO SPRINGS — Hospitals across the county have a fun competition between them to see who delivers the first baby of the new year.
This year in Colorado, the Evans Army Community Hospital on Fort Carson welcomed the first baby born in Colorado Springs.
Samuel Goble was born just after 12:30 a.m. and weighed in at 7 pounds, 9 ounce, and was 21.5 inches long.
The parents and baby Samuel are all doing well.
