FORT CARSON, Colo — Fort Carson reports they are experiencing a power outage.
A Fort Carson official stated, “Last night heavy rain waterlogged an electrical switch that resulted in a temporary outage for several facilities on Fort Carson, to include multiple barracks and administrative buildings. Upon investigation of the facilities, the Education Center was found to be flooding in the basement. Out of an abundance of caution, power was isolated to the facility until the basement was drained. At 2:46 a.m. power was restored to the majority of affected facilities. The Education Center’s power was not turned back on until after 9 a.m. when the site was determined safe.”
The Fort Carson Education Center is closed until further notice.
There are no other reports of any other closures as of now.
