EL PASO COUNTY — The El Paso County Sheriff's Office Tuesday announced the passing of retired K9 Axel.
The Sheriff's Office said Axel passes away on the evening of June 29th with his family by his side.
Axel's career with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office began in 2010. He served the citizens of El Paso County for the next seven plus years before being medically retired in March of 2018.
The Sheriff's Office said that along with retired Deputy Miller, Axel located numerous suspects and illegal narcotics.
