WOODLAND PARK — Woodland Park is looking cleaner thanks to a local group who went the extra mile to shine up businesses along Main Street on Friday.
A non profit group organized the clean up. About 20 volunteers went around to different businesses downtown and cleaned windows, pulled weeds and swept the sidewalk.
Organizers said this clean up effort helps to preserve the identity of cities like Woodland Park.
"When you have a healthy downtown and you have a healthy economic vitality downtown you have a healthy town," said Program Manager Gail Wingerd.
This was the second community clean up in the city this year.
