PUEBLO — Pueblo County Sheriff's Deputies followed shoe prints in the snow after finding a stolen car in Pueblo West, and arrested a Colorado Springs man.

Deputies received a notification that a vehicle with OnStar was in the area of E. Abarr Drive and S. Wiggins. They said they found the vehicle with no one inside, but saw a set of shoe prints leading away from it in the same direction where two people were walking down the street.

Deputies said they approached those two people and saw the prints matched the sole of the shoes one of them was wearing.

Deputies said that man, identified as Anthony Lamkin, 18, told them a friend drove him to Pueblo West to visit his girlfriend but dropped him off near where the stolen car was parked, and that he walked around the vehicle and that's why his shoe prints were there.

Deputies say after further questioning Lamkin admitted he entered the vehicle to see what was inside, and they found several items in his backpack that the vehicle's owner said were taken from inside.

Lamkin was arrested for felony aggravated motor vehicle theft and theft, and was taken to the Pueblo County Jail.
