PUEBLO — On Friday night, Pueblo Police reported that a woman was shot and killed at a Dollar General Store near the 900 Block of East 4th Street at around 8 p.m.
When Police arrived the woman was pronounced dead on the scene.
The woman was later identified as 38-year-old Renee Francisca Dominguez, 38 of Pueblo.
According to police, the suspect has been identified as 59-year-old, Jerome Allan Bustos.
Bustos later committed suicide in El Paso County.
Police said this was a targeted shooting and they believe the incident is domestic violence-related.
Pueblo Police said this is the first homicide of 2022.
Detectives with the Pueblo Police Department's Crimes Against Persons Section continue to investigate the incident.
