PUEBLO — With record breaking heat this week in Pueblo, District 60 is taking some extra precautions to care for students and staff.

The district is delivering water to schools and rolling back some of the dress codes to help everyone be comfortable.

They're also circulating cool air through the buildings.

"Those schools without air conditioning, very early in the morning, we're opening windows to let cool air into the building. And then as the day gets started, we're closing that, and we do have some fans around kind of circulating that air," said Communications Manager, Dalton Sprouse.

The district said two schools don't have A/C but the other 28 have some form of air.
