PUEBLO — Pueblo School District 60 has seen the effects of COVID-19 and has been forced to make budget cuts for the upcoming school year.

D60 does say making any staff cuts is not an option at this time.

The district says it finalized its budgets and had to dip into its reserve budget in order to make sure no staff member gets laid off.

"We have been very diligent in the past," explained Dalton Sprouse from Pueblo School District 60. "We are going to continue being diligent moving forward and we know there could be some tough times ahead especially due to COVID-19."

However, the district did get approval for two grants, which will go towards new buildings in the Franklin School of Innovation & Sunset Park Elementary.
