COLORADO SPRINGS — School District 11 is continuing to feed hungry families even though schools are closed.
The district has even expanded sites for curbside pickup.
Monday was the first day for "Grab and Go" lunches at Sabin Middle School and Jackson Elementary.
The food is handed out while people remain in their vehicles.
''It's a lot different. We run it like summer feed, except they don't have to stay," Food Nutrition Supervisor, Terry Spencer said.
The district offers breakfast and lunch for students qualifying for free or reduced lunches.
