COLORADO SPRINGS — Experts say 60% of small businesses that get hacked go out of business.
That's why a summit in Colorado Springs helped business owners learn how to keep themselves safe from cyber hackers.
The Pikes Peak Small Business Development Center held its second annual Small Business Cyber-security Summit Friday at the Double Tree Hotel in the Springs.
Experts were there to educate, demonstrate, and to emphasize how hackers can destroy small businesses.
"If you're hacked, which you will be hacked, you better be ready for that hack, rather than try to recover from it," said Executive Director Aikta Marcoulier.
The Small Business Development Center also offers free cyber-security consulting.
